Where does Google report AI traffic?
Google says sites appearing in AI Overviews and AI Mode are counted in overall search traffic in Search Console's Performance report, within the "Web" search type. It also provides a Generative AI performance report to show how content performs in AI features on Search and Discover.

Are AI Overview clicks worth less?
Google says the opposite. It reports that clicks from results pages with AI Overviews are higher quality, meaning people tend to spend more time on the site. That's Google's own claim, so measure it on your site too: track conversions and time on site in your analytics.

How do I track ChatGPT visits?
OpenAI says ChatGPT adds utm_source=chatgpt.com to the links it sends people through, so you can see those visits in Google Analytics.
What about being named without a click?
Analytics can't see that. Many AI answers name a business without a click, so measure that by asking AI engines your buyers' questions regularly. The free AI Recommendation Check does this for you.
