What does Google say?
Google recommends supporting your text with high-quality, relevant images and videos where it makes sense.
"If you're already following our image SEO best practices and video SEO documentation, you're already optimizing for generative AI search."

Does video matter outside Google?
Ahrefs' study of 75,000 brands found YouTube mentions had the strongest correlation with visibility across ChatGPT, AI Mode and AI Overviews (about 0.74). That's a correlation, not proof that video causes visibility, but it's a strong signal.

What kind of images and video should I add?
Real ones: your team, your premises, your work, and short videos answering the questions customers ask. Stock photos add little. Keep important information in text as well, since Google lists text-based content among its basics.
